this travel is quite awesome, however it does take alot of time, therefor me and my friend decided to take the 2 months long trip (can change due to weather and such) along route 66, starting at Chicago and ends in the city of angels L.A.
through this trip you will cross alot of interesting cities, like Springfield, Oklahoma City, St. Louis, etc. etc.
Firstly we started at Chicago, where we rented two Harleys, then went to the MC D and got some cheeseburgers, thus it was late and dark, and Chicago can be a dangerous city when the night has come, unless you can take care of yourself.
Afterwards we took our Harleys and started the fantastic trip of Route 66, it was dark, but the city lights were shining, its was late night/early morning, and in the horisont we could see the sun getting up, alternately we could have waited in chicago, till it was daytime, but we wanted to see the sun rising, while we were riding our bikes through the legendary Route 66.
Our first stop was in St. Louis where we stayed a few days, to discover the city and its nightlife.
after a few days there with a giant hangover we continued our ride through USA, where we met some indians who were running an indian casino, so we stopped and checked the facilities, but we went out with empty pockets.

ReplyDeleteI like your way of describing your surroundings, and the humorous tone to it. Almost a poetic touch to want to see the sunrise on your Harleys :-)
ReplyDeleteHowever, it would have been nice with a conclusion to your story, thus going full circle with regard to discourse markers. Furthermore, it would have added a little extra to your writing, if you had spotted and corrected some of the grammatical/linguistic mistakes. But overall a nice pice of travel writing.
