I'm Ralph and here are my reflections...

When thinking of it now, I shouldn't have escalated the conflict. A society could work with two leaders, so maybe I just should have let Jack have his will and let him rule for a day or two. Maybe then we could have avoided the whole thing...

He had a point but was too brutal in his way of setting forth his views on things. I was to one, constantly seeking out to confront my point of views with Jack, and I was also the one, who could have acted differently.

I reacted as an adult. And maybe that was wrong? I mean, when the others started acting like monkeys, I should have adjusted to their desire and stopped pretending that we had build a new society.

Maybe if... Maybe if... I'm still convinced that I did the right thing all along. With some minor corrections.

Lord of the Flies - rounding off and putting things into perspective:
1. Choose two boys from the island and address the following questions:
a. Does this boy contribute (= bidrage) in any way to the tragedy on the island? Explain your viewpoint.
the twin boys, (sam and eric) and Jack.
They contribute in the tragedy, by not trying to stop them. Jack contribute, by being the source of their evil deeds. They are (both) in Jack’s tribe. ‘’the huntsmen’’. They are ‘’coldblooded’’ and their only goal, is to survive and cause misery, for those who stands in their (jack’s) way. The twins are easy to manipulate, because they feel bad for Ralph and piggy. Therefor is Ralph able to convince them not to rat out on his hiding place in the very end. Eventhough they are under the ‘’wings’’ of Jack.

b. Could he have acted to prevent any of the deaths? Why/why not? Explain. Yes the twin boys, could have stood up for Ralph and Piggy. They could have turned Jack down, even though he has the power of Majority. Jack does not stop or even intend to try stopping any of the ‘’deaths’’. You could say, he is the cause of the group-behaviour.

c. Imagine you were one of these boys, and write about what you would have done differently in his situation – either in the very end, or before….. I would have done, what they did in the particular situation. I would not rat out on Ralph. Nor disobey Jack’s orders. I am very split in this particular situation. I would not want anymore people to get killed.

Jack: If we were Jack, we would have tried to corporate wit both groups, but it would have been difficult because whenever you deal with human beings there will be conflicts.

Ralph: If we were Ralph, we would have tried to be just like him. Jack had begun getting too much influence on the other boys mind, and he was like a dictator, so somebody had to stand up and face him. But from a rational point of view, he should have assigned to Jack, because he could have prevented Piggy’s death.

Lord of the Flies
If we were Jack, we would defiantly not have brainwashed any of the others. Because they were all brainwashed when they killed Simon and Piggy. If we were Jack, we would not have stolen the knife and Piggy’s glasses either, because it is unethical. If Piggy died by a natural way, and if we could not find any food, we would have to eat Piggy to survive. We would not have made our own group of hunters, but we would still be in Ralph’s group, so everybody was together.

something about little Ralphie's oopsies

Ralph should have joined Jack's group right away, that way none of the tragic events would have occurred. Obviously Jack had the most support... but Ralph was too stubborn, and he wanted to ''lead'' but when he finally realized that he should join Jack's group, it was too late, the group mentality of Jack's group had gone to some wicked state, where ''helping'' the out-group was out of the question.
